SHRINATH TEMPLE, THORGAVHAN

On Margshirsh shake 1840 Shrinath arrived at the residence  of Shri Patil. At night  the nathbhakta experienced the miracle. On the upperside of the place where shrinath has sat down, all the devotees heard the sound as if someone is walking on the titled roof. They all thought it was an illusion, but still all of them went on the roof to see what had happened. They saw the tiles of the roof were drop off. They frightened and came inside to narrate the incidence and suddenly another miracle happened that they  heard the voice of “Datt”.

On the second day shrinath himself went with all the devotees, to find out the truth of their illusion but his perception was same which was already decided by divine spirit. Shrinath decided to make foundation and established Paduka on the 11th day of lunar calendar of chaitra shake 1841. The specialty of this temple is different from perhaps all the rare temples of India. At the time of foundation of this temple, shrinath rightfully promised that “Ghost affliction” will be removed permanently; provided all the work and traditions of the temple are performed promptly. One can experience the actual truth of the story by visiting the temple. Daily worship and panchpadi is performed in the temple at regular basis. Presently shri Vasant Kulkarni is taking care of all the work and worship of temple.

Thorgavhan is village situated near the area of Faizpur-sawda. It  is situated 5 km. away from Bhusaval Khandwa railway. One can get state tourism  buses from Julgaon bus stand.
